AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR
Alan Chen is a storyteller, illustrator and full time dreamer. He’s been creating worlds since childhood, and was frequently in trouble for doodling all over his textbooks at school. Alan started Project Midnight with his wife Aneta and their friend Diana in the hopes of changing the world for the better, one story at a time. Alan’s daughter Arya is his biggest fan, and is the inspiration for many of his stories, including the Mummy Daddy.

The team has held live online storytime events for local and international audiences! And now that Sydney is out of lockdown, we can't wait to bring this experience to kids in person.
Alan's 5 year old daughter Arya also takes the lead in a fun draw-along activity where kids learn how to draw a mummy.
